We share often about what our boutique offers in regards to trends, style and designers but we have missed sharing with you a very important part. Our team!
So I might as well start with myself…
My name is Aimee, I was born and raised right here in Saskatoon. I am your typical prairie girl, well at least I think so, some might say I might be a bit more big city (aka. High Maintenance)…depends who you ask.
Have you ever tried to write a blog about yourself? It is hard! I feel like I have so much to tell you then I put it down and its like, who wants to know this about me? So if a babble scroll to the good stuff 😉
I am a proud Saskatonian, I love this little city of ours. The community, the support, the small town feel but the big city dreams; it really is the best place to live! Our little city was really lacking in fashion…I say WAS because we have the most wonderful local boutiques popping up all over the city now, so when I was wedding dress shopping I did not even consider looking local (here is that high maintenance thing I think). So we planned a trip and took off in the hopes of finding my dream dress…well let me tell you how eye opening that experience was. Big city fashion comes with big city price tags, this shopping trip was before “Say Yes To The Dress” the TV show was a thing so I was in a bit of sticker shock at some of the price tags on wedding dresses. We also did not book a single appointment, because we did not know that was a thing, so the customer service was really lacking! Now that being said we stumbled upon the sweetest little shop and the lovely owner was kind enough to take time at the end of the day to help us out, she picked my dress and I could not have been happier! So 6 months later when it arrived I travelled back to go pick it up, only to learn that it would need alterations so I had to find someone at home to do them for me. So I reached out to local Bridal Shops in hopes of a recommendation on whom to use…this is where I learned that a local shop carried my dress. I felt so terrible that I had not supported a local business, even though I was very happy with my experience. I am a big believer in #shoplocal.
All in all I absolutely loved dress shopping! So when shortly after my experience I had the opportunity to work part time in a local bridal boutique, I jumped at the opportunity! Heck ya I wanted to make ladies feel fabulous all day long! I loved that part time job so much that I told anyone that would listen that one day I would have my own shop. So here we are, opportunity knocked and I answered!
UnVeiled Dress Co. is my pride and joy! My team has been fabulous since the get go and has made this experience better than I ever thought it could be. We have always thought of our crew here as a team, I like to be a team player as well as a coach so I am getting my hands dirty just as much as anyone else. I love working with our fabulous brides! There is something in the Sask water, I am telling ya, the ladies that come in here are stunners! I just love the time spent with each one of our clients, you get to know a lot about someone as you help them choose a gown for a pretty big moment in their life.
One of my favourite things about this business is our fine city, no really…have you ever stopped to look around at the fabulous #bossbabes Saskatoon has to offer? I get to work with such amazing women; from trade shows and photo shoots to business building dinners and cross promotions. The women of Saskatoon certainly can light you on fire.
Same goes for all you beautiful women that come in and let me style you! So pop on over to our bookings page and get your dream dress appointment on the books!
I look forward to meeting you!
Love, Aimee
